🔥 The Inspiration: At its core, The Arrangement is about exploring the fine line between comfort and craving—how two people who think they know what they want can find themselves completely unprepared for the intensity of real love. The story was inspired by the idea of what happens when a “friends with benefits” situation starts to feel like forever.

✍🏾 The Hardest Scene to Write: Believe it or not, the most challenging scene wasn’t one of the steamy ones, because well, I’m me. 😂. What stretched me a bit was when Asha confronts her feelings, caught between her own fears and the undeniable pull toward Ezra. Getting her vulnerability and strength balanced just right was a delicate dance. But I believe I nailed it.

😏 The Most Fun Scene to Write: Hands down, the scene at Vellum (A restaurant I created by the way 🥰) when Asha showed up in that “fuck-me dress,” letting Ezra know she wasn’t to be played with. The tension, the power shift, the silent exchange between them—it was delicious to write.

💡 Character Surprises: Ezra completely stole my heart with his patience and quiet intensity. Originally, I thought he’d be the one who needed convincing, but it turned out he’d been ready for more all along. As for Asha, she reminded me about the beauty of being vulnerable, even when it scares you.

📖 A Little Secret: There’s a playlist I share with all my readers who purchase the book. Usually, I’m not writing to all of the songs because I don’t do well with music playing in the background as I’m writing. But one song did play this time. Speechless by Beyoncé stayed on loop. It was on so good.
